Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, calls for introduction of the so-called "ideological subjects" into the school curriculum.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made the above mentioned statement at the theoretical and practical conference "Implementation of the State Policy related to the Development of Education in Ivano-Frankivsk Region", held on Tuesday in Ivano-Frankivsk. He stated that systematic education should let a pupil understand the essence of such concepts as a political nation, constitutional order, Ukrainian language, jural state and civil society.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is convinced that a child is in need of such understanding when its personality is being formed. Therefore, "State ideology should be present at school".
